Ryanair Flight to Spain Encounters Severe Turbulence

Must Read

Passengers on a Ryanair flight to Spain were left shocked and injured as the plane encountered severe turbulence mid-air. The incident occurred as the aircraft was en route from Vitoria to Palma in Mallorca with 180 passengers onboard. Two flight attendants sustained injuries, one being thrown up and hitting the ceiling, while the other was struck by a catering trolley during the sudden turbulence.

Emergency services rushed to Son Sant Joan airport upon the plane’s landing to attend to the injured crew members. Despite the chaos, the aircraft landed safely, and passengers were able to disembark after medical assistance was provided. A Ryanair spokesperson confirmed the turbulence incident on flight FR4615, emphasizing that the captain had requested medical aid for the affected cabin crew.

The turbulence incident occurred amidst adverse weather conditions, with storms in Mallorca causing delays and complicating flights. The turbulence caused significant shaking within the aircraft, leading to injuries to the flight attendants. The severity of the injuries sustained during the incident is yet to be fully determined.

This incident follows a previous turbulence-related event earlier in the year where nine individuals, including a toddler and a crew member, were injured during a Ryanair flight from Berlin to Milan. The aircraft had to make an emergency landing at Memmingen Airport in Bavaria due to severe weather conditions. In response to that incident, the airline arranged alternative transport for the affected passengers to reach their final destination promptly.
