“Jack Draper Parts Ways with Coach Trotman, Hires Delgado”

Must Read

Jack Draper has ended his coaching partnership with James Trotman after four successful years together. During their time working together, Draper secured three ATP Tour titles, including a victory at Indian Wells, reached the semi-finals of the 2024 US Open, and achieved a career-high ranking of No.4 in the world.

Trotman decided to step back from coaching to focus on his family, leading to Draper bringing in Jamie Delgado, a former coach of Andy Murray and Grigor Dimitrov, to join his team. Delgado, who recently coached Murray to some of his greatest successes, is set to take on the role of head coach for Draper.

Despite plans for Trotman to still have a role within the team, he felt that he couldn’t provide the necessary support to Draper while prioritizing his family commitments. Draper expressed gratitude for Trotman’s contributions and confirmed his participation in the upcoming UTS London event in December, with Delgado leading his coaching team.

Delgado’s coaching experience includes working with top players like Murray and Dimitrov, helping them achieve significant milestones in their careers. Although Dimitrov recently suffered an injury setback at Wimbledon, leading to the end of his partnership with Delgado, Draper remains optimistic about his new coaching team’s potential.

In addition to Delgado, Draper has also welcomed other former members of Murray’s team, including physio Shane Annun and fitness coach Matt Little. Draper has been dedicated to his training, putting in hours at the National Tennis Centre gym and even undertaking a training stint in the Algarve to prepare for upcoming competitions.

Furthermore, Sky has introduced a discounted Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, offering significant savings to viewers and increasing the number of live matches broadcast, including up to 215 live Premier League games next season.
