Jennifer Aniston Slams Misleading Claims About Motherhood

Must Read

Hollywood legend Jennifer Aniston has strongly criticized allegations suggesting she lacked interest in becoming a mother due to being a “selfish workaholic.”

The former Friends star, previously married to Brad Pitt, revealed her long-hidden struggle over two decades to have a child. In a recent interview, the 56-year-old actress emphasized the need to correct the misleading narrative surrounding her decision not to start a family.

Jennifer expressed, “People were unaware of my journey and the challenges I faced in the past 20 years to build a family because I choose not to publicize my personal struggles. But there comes a time when you can’t ignore the false stories about me not having a child or a family due to selfishness or work obsession. It does affect me – I’m just like everyone else. We are all human beings. That’s why I decided to speak out.”

In a conversation with Harper’s Bazaar UK, Jennifer opened up about her unsuccessful experience with IVF treatments and regretted not freezing her eggs earlier. Reflecting on the media’s rapid news cycle, she remarked, “Certain times, I feel the need to set the record straight when false information circulates. But then I question, is it necessary? My family and friends know my truth.”

Following her separation from Brad in 2005, Jennifer, who played Rachel Green on Friends for a decade, entered a six-year relationship with Justin Theroux, which ended in 2017.

Describing her IVF journey as “challenging,” Jennifer, a native of Los Angeles, California, shared, “In my late 30s and 40s, I faced significant challenges, which shaped me into the person I am today. I was actively trying to conceive.”

Jennifer, who was 35 at the time of her split from Brad, refuted claims that he left her because she couldn’t have children, labeling it as an “outright falsehood.”

The November edition of Harper’s Bazaar UK will be available for purchase starting October 9.
