As the temperatures plummet this winter, you could qualify for payments of £25 under the Cold Weather Payment initiative.
The Cold Weather Payments for 2025/26 have recently commenced, offering you a chance to receive £25 each time the average temperature in your area drops to zero degrees or below for seven consecutive days.
Multiple Cold Weather Payments can be obtained if your region experiences several periods of freezing conditions during the winter season. The distribution of Cold Weather Payments is overseen by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
To be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment, you must be receiving specific benefits, including Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, or Income-related Employment and Support Allowance.
