Al Pacino Expresses Regret Over Not Marrying Diane Keaton

Must Read

Al Pacino, known for his iconic roles, recently expressed his biggest life regret, which is not tying the knot with Diane Keaton. The two actors starred together in The Godfather, where Pacino portrayed Michael Corleone and Keaton played his on-screen wife, Kay.

Keaton passed away at the age of 79 on Saturday, October 11. Their romantic involvement began in 1971 while working on the film, but despite a lengthy on-and-off relationship lasting until 1987, Pacino never proposed to her. A close friend of Pacino disclosed that he deeply regrets not marrying Keaton, whom he considered the “love of his life.”

Although they lived near each other in Beverly Hills for years, Pacino and Keaton were not on speaking terms at the time of her passing. Pacino’s decision to purchase a home close to Keaton’s residence was primarily to stay close to his children, whom he adores.

Neither Pacino nor Keaton ever married, despite their significant connection. The pair initially met on the set of The Godfather, where their characters shared a tumultuous relationship.

It remains uncertain whether Pacino will attend Keaton’s funeral or memorial service. Tributes from various celebrities, such as Nancy Sinatra and Reese Witherspoon, poured in following Keaton’s demise. Leonardo DiCaprio, who worked with Keaton, described her as a legend and a kind-hearted individual.
