“Leading Pharmacy Chain Saves 60 Struggling Branches”

Must Read

A leading pharmacy chain on the high street has successfully rescued 60 branches of a competing firm from financial collapse. Allied Pharmacies has taken over the operations of 60 Jhoots Pharmacies locations, most of which are currently closed. However, Allied has assured the public of its commitment to restoring essential pharmacy services at these sites.

Following this acquisition, Allied will expand its reach to approximately 210 branches in England and Wales. The company emphasized the importance of community pharmacies in promoting public health and well-being and acknowledged the impact of the closures on vulnerable groups reliant on local healthcare services.

Regarding the previous challenges faced by Jhoots Pharmacies, reports indicated potential closures of some outlets, raising concerns about limited access to healthcare services in communities. Allegations of staff payment issues and overdue bills were also brought to light.

The ownership structure of the pharmacies involves brothers Manjit and Sarbjit Jhooty. While Manjit oversees more than 20 branches through his companies, denying any operational issues, Sarbjit is reported to own the remaining 129 outlets.

In response to inquiries, a spokesperson for Manjit Jhooty affirmed the financial stability and quality of services provided by the pharmacies under his management. Sarbjit acknowledged workforce and recruitment challenges and assured efforts to address these issues.

For further comments or queries, Jhoots Pharmacies have been approached for additional information.
