Bernie Ecclestone Sells Yachts & F1 Cars, Maintains Billionaire Status

Must Read

Bernie Ecclestone recently sold a yacht named after his daughters, Petra and Tamara, following his wife Fabiana’s statement that they only used it for a brief period each year. Another smaller yacht owned by the Formula 1 figure, located in Ibiza, is also currently on the market, contrasting with the “Petara” yacht situated in Croatia.

During an interview on his 95th birthday with BILD, Ecclestone confirmed the sale of the yacht, mentioning that they only utilized it for about eight days annually. Additionally, earlier this year, he sold his F1 car collection to Red Bull co-owner Mark Mateschitz for approximately £550 million. This transaction occurred after settling a civil case with HMRC, paying over £500 million due to undeclared overseas assets totaling £400 million.

Despite these sales, Ecclestone’s family, as per Forbes, still holds a net worth exceeding £1.8 billion. Currently residing in Gstaad, Switzerland, with his third wife Fabiana and their five-year-old son, Ace, Ecclestone expressed a preference for a low-key celebration with his family rather than a grand party for his birthday.

Reflecting on family dynamics, Fabiana mentioned their successful 13-year marriage and effective co-parenting of Ace. Ecclestone emphasized their teamwork in raising their son, ensuring discipline with a balanced approach. They also discussed Ace’s limited screen time, aiming to introduce him to technology gradually as he matures.

The couple praised Ace’s diverse interests and talents, highlighting his early skiing skills and adventurous palate, particularly enjoying sushi. Looking ahead, Ecclestone expressed confidence in Ace’s bright future, emphasizing his limitless potential.

Furthermore, Sky has announced a discounted Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the 2025/26 season, providing access to over 1,400 live matches across various leagues, including the Premier League and EFL. The upcoming season will feature an increase in the number of live Premier League games broadcasted by Sky, offering a more extensive coverage for football enthusiasts.
