“Jake Paul’s Promoter Investigates Allegations Against Gervonta Davis”

Must Read

Jake Paul’s promotion company has issued a statement following allegations against his upcoming opponent, Gervonta Davis. The accusations include battery, false imprisonment, and kidnapping by Davis’ ex-girlfriend.

Paul and Davis are scheduled to face off in an exhibition match in Miami on November 14, despite the weight difference between them. The fight will not affect their professional records, but a winner will be determined either by stoppage or by judges, including an AI official if needed.

Amid calls for the fight to be canceled due to the allegations against Davis, reports suggested Paul might consider Ryan Garcia as a replacement. However, Most Valuable Promotions, Paul’s company, stated that no decision has been made yet.

The company stated, “Most Valuable Promotions immediately launched an investigation upon being informed of the civil lawsuit against Gervonta Davis. We are currently gathering information to ensure any decision is well-considered. We denounce violence and are committed to handling this matter with care. Further comments will be made after a thorough review.”

While Davis has not responded to the accusations, his trainer dismissed them as baseless. The lawsuit alleges that Davis attacked his ex-partner at her workplace and had threatened her previously. The ex-partner also claims he assaulted and choked her on multiple occasions, seeking damages and a trial.

Despite initial considerations, a fight between Paul and Garcia is unlikely due to contractual obligations with different platforms. Paul might delay his return to the ring to December and has been linked with heavyweight Anthony Joshua, although a last-minute deal seems improbable.
