Some Sky customers are facing a frustrating issue with the ITVX app. The problem began recently, causing interruptions during viewing sessions where programs skip to the end unexpectedly. Users have reported instances where they are abruptly taken to the credits without any input from their remote control.
Expressing their concerns on Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky mentioned experiencing the ITV Player skipping to the end of episodes over the past few days. Another user, Dawn, also highlighted similar issues with programs jumping to the end randomly, particularly at the start or after ad breaks.
The technical glitches seem to be impacting users utilizing Sky’s online devices such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it remains uncertain if Sky Q is affected, the majority of complaints are from individuals using broadband-powered gadgets rather than satellite dishes.
Despite the cause of the problems being unclear, a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the issues and assured users that efforts are underway to resolve them. Kev informed users on the forum that the problem has been escalated to support teams who will collaborate with ITV to address the issue promptly.
While a solution is pending, users may have to cope with the skipping problems for now. Stay tuned for updates on this matter from Mirror Online.
