“Bids Deadline Looms for Revolution Bars Sale”

Must Read

The company that owns Revolution bars has announced a deadline for bids next week as it seeks a buyer. The Revel Collective, which operates 62 venues under brands like Revolution and Revolucion de Cuba, made the decision to sell in October 2025 due to declining sales.

According to reports from Sky News, interested bidders must submit offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting overseeing the formal sale process. Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective sites, but it is uncertain if they will make a bid.

The company, previously known as Revolution Bars, underwent a rebranding in 2024. It had initiated a sales process in April of the same year, which was halted after rejecting an offer from Nightcap. The business closed approximately 36 sites in 2024 as part of a restructuring plan approved by the High Court.

In October 2025, company officials cited challenging economic conditions and government interventions as factors hindering their progress post-restructuring. Revenues fell by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the three months leading up to September, primarily due to a 10.5% decline in like-for-like sales in their bars division.

The company attributed the sales decline to cost-of-living pressures on its younger clientele and noted an increase in debts to £25.3 million, up from £22.1 million in June. Luke Johnson, former Pizza Express executive, took over as chairman of The Revel Collective in September, expressing interest in acquiring distinctive businesses with market-leading potential.
