Wetherspoon has kicked off its January Sale in 600 of its pubs, offering a pint of beer starting at just 99p. The discounted drinks include Worthington’s beer at 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine at £2.99 for a 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with a mixer) at £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with a mixer) at £1.99.
Additionally, a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks are available, such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin at £1.69 each. Customers can also enjoy Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa for 99p each.
Food discounts are also part of the sale, with options like an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a chicken burger with chips for £4.99 including a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.
In addition, customers can choose from six jacket potatoes for £4.99 with a soft drink or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink. Fillings include tuna mayo, coleslaw, chilli bean non-carne, cheese, baked beans, or roasted vegetables. Extra fillings or a side salad can be added for 99p. Gourmet jacket potatoes are available for £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic drink, featuring options like a loaded spud with cheese, bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream, a Mexican spud with vegetarian chili, or a smoky potato with BBQ beef brisket.
Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin expressed that the January Sale offers a diverse range of drinks and food to cater to various tastes, including a wide selection of low and non-alcoholic beverages. The sale is expected to be well-received by customers, with the assurance of responsible service by the pub staff.
The sale will run in 600 pubs from January 2, extending to January 15, with Scottish pubs starting the sale on January 3. Prices may vary at Wetherspoon’s other 200 venues.
