“Man’s Gruesome Murder Plot Inspired by Notorious Case”

Must Read

A man, aged 65, extensively researched and planned a gruesome crime against his partner, drawing inspiration from a notorious murder case nearly a century old, according to investigators. Allegedly, he utilized fake online identities to deceive young women, posing as athletic individuals to entice them, before his actions took a dark turn.

The man meticulously orchestrated the murder of his partner, subsequently dismembering her body and discarding body parts in a suitcase left at a bus station, where CCTV footage captured his movements. Reports from CNN Brazil revealed his troubling past involving a conviction for his mother’s death in 2018, a crime he denied but admitted to concealing her body under the guise of suicide, allegedly driven by financial motives linked to an insurance policy payout.

After engaging in catfishing activities and selecting his partner as the target, he drew inspiration from a chilling 1928 murder in São Paulo where a man murdered his wife, dismembered her, and concealed the remains in a suitcase. Attempts to access funds from his partner’s account suggested financial gain as a likely motive for the violent act.

By using his partner’s phone to mislead her family about her status and whereabouts, the man displayed a manipulative and deceptive nature. Described as possessing a psychopathic disposition by the Civil Police of Rio Grande do Sul, he demonstrated high levels of intelligence and education, with a tendency for methodical and calculated planning in his crimes.

The suspect deployed false leads and disguises to mislead investigators and divert attention from his illicit activities, even resorting to artificial intelligence to create fake profiles to locate potential victims. The victim’s torso was discovered in a suitcase at a bus station in Porto Alegre, with body parts scattered in different locations within the city.

In an effort to conceal his identity, the perpetrator wore a cap, mask, glasses, and gloves while disposing of the body. The investigation hinted at a possible connection between the crime and his online catfishing activities, although no official confirmation has been provided regarding the victim’s origin from these interactions.
