Three individuals lost their lives in separate traffic accidents in Quebec overnight. The first incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. near Chemin Mistral in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, where a vehicle veered off Route 132 East. The driver, a 35-year-old man who was the sole occupant, tragically died at the scene due to losing control of the vehicle. The road was temporarily closed but reopened at approximately 4:45 a.m.
A second accident took place at about 3:20 a.m. on Route 138 near Franquelin. The vehicle, carrying four individuals, swerved off the road for unknown reasons. One person was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, while the other three occupants are currently in critical condition. Two out of the three lanes in the vicinity were closed following the incident.
The third crash was reported around 6 a.m. on Route 138 in Saint-Tite-des-Caps. As the car was heading eastbound, it veered out of its lane, causing it to roll multiple times. A man and a woman in their thirties were inside the vehicle. Unfortunately, the 37-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, while the man remains in critical condition. The reasons behind this incident are still under investigation.
