“Lewis Hamilton’s Pagani Zonda Sold for £8.5 Million, Wrecked by New Owner”

Must Read

Lewis Hamilton’s performance in the 2025 Formula 1 season has been a mix of highs and lows since his move to Ferrari from Mercedes. While the seven-time world champion has shown glimpses of his exceptional talent, he has struggled with consistency on the track.

Off the racing circuit, Hamilton is renowned for his strong advocacy for environmental and social causes. This dedication to his beliefs led him to part ways with his custom Pagani Zonda 760 LH, which was later wrecked by its new owner after being sold for a substantial profit.

The unique supercar, tailored to Hamilton’s specifications in 2014, boasted a powerful 7.3-liter V12 engine generating 760 horsepower. With a distinctive purple design featuring carbon fiber accents and a rare manual transmission, this Zonda 760 stood out in Hamilton’s supercar collection.

Valued at approximately £1.6 million, the Pagani Zonda was a prized possession for Hamilton, despite his criticism of its handling. However, his growing environmental consciousness prompted him to transition to driving his electric Mercedes EQC, relinquishing his gas-guzzling vehicles.

Selling the Zonda proved lucrative for Hamilton, fetching an impressive £8.5 million and earning him a substantial profit of £6.9 million. Unfortunately, the car met a tragic fate in 2023 when its new owner crashed it in Wales, causing significant damage that required extensive repairs.

Despite the setbacks, the Zonda has been meticulously restored to its former glory and remains a symbol of both Pagani’s craftsmanship and Hamilton’s strategic decisions. While Hamilton continues to strive for success with Ferrari on the track, he faces stiff competition and is currently positioned sixth in the Drivers’ Championship standings.

Next on the racing calendar is the Hungarian Grand Prix, where fans can witness the action live with Sky’s new Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, offering comprehensive coverage of every practice, qualifying session, and race. This exclusive deal also includes access to over 100 TV channels, along with complimentary subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+.
