NatWest will close 26 bank branches this month, with additional closures planned for later in the year. Two branches in Cwmbran and Wisbech have already been shut down this week, and two more in Leicester and Rayleigh will follow suit today.
According to recent data from the Which? group, NatWest Group, which encompasses Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank, has closed a total of 1,483 branches since 2015. Customers needing in-person assistance can utilize any bank within the NatWest group for their everyday banking needs. For instance, NatWest clients can access services at RBS branches, and vice versa. Additionally, mobile branches, where staff set up temporary service locations in communities for a certain period, are available for customers.

Various services such as deposits, withdrawals, bill payments, balance inquiries, and check deposits can be carried out at Post Offices. A NatWest spokesperson mentioned that a significant portion of current account holders use digital services, highlighting the convenience and speed of online banking for routine transactions.
