“Content Editor Explores Coffee Journey, Finds Love in Mochas”

Must Read

Talya Honebeek, a content editor for Spare Time contributing to various publications such as the Express, the Mirror, and the Daily Record, delves into a personal exploration of coffee. Despite her admiration for coffee drinkers, she has always preferred beverages like water, juice, or fizzy drinks over tea or coffee.

Even with a demanding schedule, late nights, and a partner who adores coffee, Talya has never developed a taste for it. However, in a quest to broaden her horizons, she decided to give coffee another chance. Encouraged by her coffee-loving friends to try a flat white, she ventured to a local café to give it a shot.

Opting for a flat white at a familiar café, Talya’s experience with the bitter drink left much to be desired. Despite attempting to sweeten it with sugar, the taste did not resonate with her. Trying a cappuccino as an alternative also failed to win her over to the world of coffee enthusiasts.

Reflecting on her initial coffee encounter, Talya decided to give it another go the next day at an independent coffee shop. This time, she opted for a mocha, hoping the addition of chocolate would make the coffee more palatable. To her surprise, the blend of coffee and chocolate struck a chord with her taste buds, leading her to finish the entire cup with newfound appreciation.

Excited by her unexpected enjoyment of the mocha, Talya looks forward to ordering coffee on future outings, albeit with a preference for varieties like mochas over flat whites. As she embraces this new experience, she contemplates indulging in an iced frappuccino in the future.
