Samsung has unveiled its latest Galaxy range at the Unpacked event in New York, showcasing new bendable phones that are thinner, faster, and more durable. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, resembling a tablet when unfolded, features an impressive 8-inch screen and has been slimmed down to become Samsung’s thinnest and lightest foldable device ever at just 8.9mm thick.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, promising enhanced speed and performance for various tasks including app launching, multitasking, gaming, and productivity. Samsung has ensured durability with features like Armour FlexHinge, Gorilla Glass, and an Advanced Armour Aluminium frame.

The device also boasts a larger 6.5-inch cover screen, an improved triple-lens camera with a main 200MP lens, and smart enhancements like auto image editing and noise removal in videos. Priced at £1,799, it is set to hit the market this month.

In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung is introducing the Z Flip 7, a compact foldable phone with a more spacious front display for easier interaction without unfolding the 6.9-inch main panel. Equipped with a larger battery, enhanced design, and Samsung’s Exynos chip, the Z Flip 7 will be available for £1,049.

For budget-conscious consumers, Samsung is launching the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, offering affordability at £849 with slightly fewer features compared to its counterparts. Annika Bizon, Mobile Experience VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung UK & Ireland, emphasized the innovation and user-centric approach of the new Galaxy devices, stating that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 combines powerful hardware with Galaxy AI in an ultra-thin and sleek form factor to support users in unprecedented ways.
