A young boy, aged seven, passed away after battling cancer for two years following his initial complaint of a stomach ache. Feliks Jama sought medical help for his stomach cramps in 2023, leading to the discovery of an 8cm tumor on his kidney and other tumors in his lungs and abdomen. Despite undergoing treatments such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the tumors reappeared, requiring further medical intervention at a local hospital in Dolsk, Poland.
In a tragic turn of events, the cancer returned even after a period of apparent improvement. Feliks’ parents explored treatment options in Germany to no avail, eventually returning to Poland. Unfortunately, the young boy lost his life on September 14.
The Piece of Heaven Foundation shared the heartbreaking news of Feliks’ passing, expressing their sorrow but also their belief that he is now at peace. They requested support and prayers for Feliks’ family during this challenging time.
Earlier this year, the foundation initiated an online fundraising campaign to assist Feliks’ family with medical expenses abroad, rehabilitation, and consultations. The campaign received overwhelming support from 11,330 donors, raising over £220,000.
In a statement on the crowdfunding page, Feliks’ family expressed their devastation over the recurrence of the cancer after a hard-fought battle. They recounted the initial diagnosis and the subsequent challenges they faced in the treatment process, highlighting the emotional turmoil they experienced throughout the ordeal.
