British Superbike rider Callum Grigor has been placed in an induced coma after a frightening crash at Donington Park. Grigor, a 27-year-old from Wishaw, Scotland, is currently in a “serious” condition.
The incident occurred during the Pirelli National Superstock Championship race on Saturday when Grigor was thrown off his bike approaching Goddards Corner. He then collided with Manx rider Nathan Harrison. Immediate medical attention was provided on the track, and Grigor was put into a medically induced coma and swiftly taken to the hospital.
A statement from British Superbike confirmed the crash, stating that Grigor and Harrison collided during the race at Donington Park. Grigor was found to be in a serious condition, necessitating immediate trackside intervention, including being placed in an induced coma. Harrison, on the other hand, was treated for an isolated limb injury and subsequently transferred to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for further evaluation and care.
