Brooke Hogan has addressed her exclusion from her father Hulk’s will following his passing. The WWE legend, who passed away at 71 in July, had a strained relationship with his daughter in recent times, leading to their estrangement.
However, in the aftermath of Hulk’s death, Brooke expressed a touching tribute acknowledging the enduring connection she shared with her father. She emphasized the influence he had on her and her children, stating, “His essence lives on within us, and our bond remains unbroken, even in his final moments. Our connection transcended words, spanning across lifetimes. I am appreciative to have known the genuine side of him.”
Nevertheless, Brooke’s spouse, Steve Oleksy, alleged that she had voluntarily removed herself from Hulk’s will before his demise. It has since been confirmed that Hulk left nearly $5 million in assets after succumbing to a heart attack, with none of it designated for Brooke. Unfazed by this decision, Brooke expressed her lack of surprise, affirming, “His choice doesn’t shock me. It aligns with my wishes, and I stand by it without regrets.”
Documents examined by US Weekly suggest that Brooke’s brother, Nick, is the sole recipient of Hulk’s estate, while his widow, Melanie Sky Daily, is identified as the surviving spouse. Earlier this year, Brooke disclosed her estrangement not only from her father but also from her mother, Linda.
The family dynamics came to light when Linda shared on Instagram that her daughter had severed ties with her eight years prior, attributing the rift to Hulk’s actions. Brooke clarified that her decisions to distance herself from her parents were independent of each other, emphasizing her enduring love for them despite the challenges.
Reflecting on the situation, Brooke’s husband criticized Hulk’s estate, highlighting that the wealth amassed was often at the expense of Brooke’s reputation. He alluded to hurtful remarks made by Hulk about Brooke’s past relationships that caused distress not just to her but to others as well.
In a controversial incident, a leaked audio clip from Hulk’s sex tape in 2012 captured him using racial slurs, leading to a lawsuit against Gawker. Despite the legal battle, Hulk secured a substantial settlement in 2016.
