“Darts player slams coach as ‘absolute helmet’ on social media”

Must Read

Luke Littler, an 18-year-old darts player, expressed his frustration towards a coach who criticized his participation in the World Youth Championship by calling him an ‘absolute helmet’. Littler competed in the tournament in Wigan, where he was defeated in the semi-finals by Beau Greaves, a three-time women’s world champion at just 21 years old.

Despite the criticism, Littler shared his positive experience and admiration for Greaves, while the coach, Andy Cornwall, voiced his disapproval on the Mission Darts Podcast, suggesting that Littler’s participation hindered others’ opportunities. In response, Littler took to Instagram to retaliate against Cornwall, labeling him as an ‘absolute helmet of a bloke.’

Defending his decision to compete, Littler highlighted that he aimed to gain experience playing against professionals at the same venue. Cornwall also targeted another player, Stephen Bunting, criticizing his positioning during matches. Sky has announced a discounted Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the upcoming season, offering over 1,400 live matches across various leagues, including an increase in live Premier League games.
