After a decade, the identity of a deceased man found beneath a concrete slab with a gunshot wound in a chilling scene has been uncovered.
The remains have been identified as those of Chester Williams, discovered on August 26, 2021, in Las Vegas when a homeowner was breaking apart a concrete slab.
Law enforcement disclosed that the victim had succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head and was thought to have been buried for a minimum of 10 years.
Authorities received a lead on July 29 this year, when a member of the public left a voicemail suggesting knowledge of the victim’s identity.
The informant indicated that the man, identified as Williams, had resided with her parents until he disappeared between 1998 and 1999.
She recounted that her parents lived on the same street where Williams was found and remembered them pouring a concrete slab at the location of his disappearance.
Mohave County Sheriff’s officials stated, “When she inquired about him, her parents mentioned he had left without a trace, which struck her as peculiar since all his personal belongings were left behind.”
“She also recalled that shortly after he vanished, her parents poured a concrete slab at the site.”
The woman’s parents, Alvin and Bea Hamilton, passed away in 2006 and 2018, respectively.
Recently, a DNA sample was taken, confirming the victim’s identity as Chester Williams.
In a separate incident, a man faces charges for allegedly transporting a deceased individual to a hospital and then fleeing, as reported by police.
Christopher Caron, 42, stands accused of driving a black Honda Civic to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Massachusetts, with a body in the backseat.
After parking in front of the emergency room, Caron informed staff of the presence of the body in the car and then fled, prompting a search by a hospital employee who discovered the body wrapped in blankets and secured with duct tape.
The victim, identified as Declan Perry, 27, from Portland, had his body found in his own car. The cause of his demise remains undisclosed.
Authorities previously mentioned a connection between Caron and Perry. Neighbors reported assisting Caron in loading a large, heavy blanket into the Honda Civic on the same day of the incident.
