“Freeview Introduces High Street TV & Channel Updates”

Must Read

If you own a Freeview-enabled television, it’s advisable to review your settings as the popular free-to-view service has recently announced several updates. Freeview has confirmed the introduction of a new channel and modifications to the planner, effective May 21, 2025.

The new addition to Freeview is High Street TV, a shopping service previously available on Sky and Virgin Media. High Street TV allows consumers to shop for products around the clock, emphasizing its multi-channel approach to cater to customer convenience.

High Street TV can now be accessed on channel 95 on the Freeview platform. Additionally, three existing channels will undergo name changes. That’s Dance on channel 76 will become That’s Pride, That’s Oldies on channel 78 will change to That’s Summer, and That’s Dance MCR on channel 79 will be rebranded as That’s Pride MCR.

To receive these updates on your television, it is recommended to perform a retune. Freeview advises users to retune their devices to keep their channels and TV Guide current. To retune your TV, follow these steps:

– Press the menu button on your TV remote control or box.
– Select the ‘set-up’, ‘installation’, ‘update’, or similar option. If prompted for a password, the default codes are ‘1234’ or ‘0000’.
– Choose ‘first-time installation’ or a similar option like ‘factory reset’, ‘full retune’, or ‘default settings’.
– Confirm the deletion of existing channels if prompted and allow the retune to start automatically. Save any found channels as necessary.

Ensuring your device is up to date will help you access the latest content and features provided by Freeview.
