A new channel has recently launched on Freeview, offering viewers an array of entertainment previously only available on premium TV services like Sky and Virgin Media. TLC, known for reality shows such as Dr Pimple Popper and Say Yes To The Dress, now features a broader range of content, including sitcoms and blockbuster movies.
With this update, Freeview users can enjoy popular shows like The Big Bang Theory, Mock the Week, and Young Sheldon, along with blockbuster films like Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. TLC is now accessible on channel 12, although some households may need to retune their TVs to access it.
In addition to introducing TLC, the update will trigger a minor channel reshuffle, with Quest moving from Ch12 to Ch17 and Really shifting from Ch17 to Ch44. Unfortunately, not all news is positive as HGTV is set to close, leading to the removal of programs like My Lottery Dream Home, Celebrity IOU, and Building Alaska from the platform. Other channels to be shut down include HGTV, God TV, and India Today.
The channel changes include the addition of TLC on Ch12 and TLC+1 on Ch99, while Quest moves to Ch17 and Really to Ch44. Channels like HGTV, God TV, and India Today will be closed as part of the update.
