Being the son of a postal worker, I understand the struggles faced by hardworking individuals who find their efforts inadequately rewarded. This shared experience is fundamental to Labour’s ethos and must remain central to our leadership.

Are we genuinely advocating for the exhausted nurse, the concerned retail worker, and the soldier seeking fair treatment, or are we losing sight of their needs amidst the Westminster clamor?

Our forward trajectory must honor our heritage while looking ahead to the future. This entails fortifying our connections with trade unions and ensuring that the working-class populace remains integral to our leadership structure.
