Meghan Markle’s Royal Transition: Nesting, Healing, and Growth

Must Read

Meghan Markle revealed that she and Prince Harry initially had no concrete plans when they chose to step back from their royal duties. The couple has since ventured into lucrative ventures, including partnerships with major platforms like Netflix and the launch of Meghan’s own As Ever brand, podcast, and lifestyle show. During a speech at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington DC, the Duchess of Sussex highlighted how their focus five years ago, coinciding with their move to the US, was primarily centered around nesting and healing, rather than strategic planning.

Reflecting on that period, Meghan shared that with a young Archie and another baby on the way, their main priority was creating a sense of community in their new environment, without a clear long-term vision in mind. Despite assumptions that she would delve into fashion or beauty, Meghan emphasized that her time at home was more about comfort and simplicity, spending days in casual attire and engaging in activities like making jam, which eventually evolved into her passion project, As Ever.

Recently, Meghan has been actively engaged in various commitments, including attending the Balenciaga show in Paris and making appearances in New York alongside Prince Harry. She candidly admitted that amidst her hectic schedule, she took a brief detour to California from Europe before heading to New York to spend precious time with her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Meghan’s dedication to balancing her professional endeavors with her family responsibilities was evident as she prioritized reuniting with her kids despite her demanding travel itinerary.
