“Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Face Charity Challenges in Africa”

Must Read

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a public appearance in New York City to support charitable causes, while the Duke of Sussex faced setbacks in his African charitable initiatives. Earlier this year, Harry resigned from Sentebale, an organization he established to assist children orphaned by Aids in Botswana and Lesotho, following allegations of bullying and harassment by the organization’s chairwoman. Additionally, an African wildlife charity, African Parks, co-managed by Harry, had its mandates to oversee wildlife reserves in Chad revoked by the government.

The Chadian government accused African Parks of displaying disrespectful behavior towards them, leading to the termination of their management rights. Despite these challenges, African Parks stated they are engaging in discussions to comprehend the government’s stance and find ways to continue protecting the reserves.

Royal expert Jennie Bond suggested that Harry should consider supporting established charities without directly managing them, citing his successful involvement with the WellChild Awards and the Invictus Games. She emphasized the importance of leveraging his influential platform to champion causes he believes in. Bond highlighted that while Harry may lack experience in running charities, his dedication to philanthropy remains evident.
