Priscilla Presley and her granddaughter, Riley Keough, have released a rare joint statement in response to the contentious allegations made against Priscilla in a revised lawsuit. The accusations were brought forth by Priscilla’s former business partners in Los Angeles, Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko, who accused her of various wrongdoings, including exerting undue influence on her late ex-husband, Elvis Presley, prior to his passing, and mishandling the circumstances surrounding her daughter Lisa Marie’s sudden death in 2023. The duo accused Priscilla of multiple offenses such as fraud, breach of contract, misappropriation of name and likeness, and intentional interference with contract and economic opportunities.
After Priscilla’s attorney refuted the claims following the filing of the revised lawsuit in Los Angeles, Priscilla and Riley united to address the alleged family discord arising from legal disputes over Lisa Marie’s estate. In their joint statement, they denounced the accusations as hurtful and emphasized the family’s solidarity in upholding the legacies of Elvis and Lisa Marie.
Aged 80 and 36 respectively, Priscilla and Riley stated, “We are aware of the recent allegations made by Brigitte Kruse. These claims are not only false but deeply distressing. Our family has always been bound by love and mutual respect.”
They further declared, “Our primary focus remains on honoring Lisa Marie’s memory and preserving Elvis’ legacy with dignity. We are resolved to prevent external factors from dividing us or weakening our family bond.”
Additionally, the legal documents revealed a letter from Riley to her grandmother following her mother’s passing in January 2023, expressing her dismay at being dragged into a legal battle concerning her mother’s wishes. Riley criticized the swift handling of Lisa Marie’s estate matters post her demise, describing it as heart-wrenching.
The lawsuit painted Priscilla as a cunning manipulator who exploited the Presley name for personal gain and alleged that she had pressured Elvis towards his death in 1977. Priscilla’s attorney dismissed these claims as baseless and outlandish, highlighting that Priscilla looks forward to holding Kruse and cohorts accountable for their actions.
In response, Kruse and Fialko’s lawyer defended the allegations, stating that the documented evidence speaks for itself and vowed to challenge Priscilla for her reckless behavior.
The controversy surrounding the legal battle has garnered attention, with both sides vehemently defending their positions. The complex family dynamics and legal intricacies continue to unfold, leaving the public intrigued by the unfolding saga.
