“Russian Airstrike Kills 20 in Ukrainian Village”

Must Read

More than 20 Ukrainians lost their lives in a devastating Russian airstrike while they were in a rural village to collect pensions. President Zelensky confirmed the incident on Telegram and shared a distressing video showing a demolished area with numerous casualties. The bomb hit Yarova village in eastern Ukraine, resulting in the deaths of at least 20 innocent civilians. Zelensky described it as a “brutal Russian air bomb strike” directly targeting civilians during pension distribution. The Ukrainian President urged Europe, the US, and G20 to take action, emphasizing the need for a strong response to prevent further loss of life caused by Russian attacks.

This tragic event occurred shortly after Vladimir Putin’s forces targeted a vital Ukrainian government building, leading to the unfortunate death of a two-month-old baby. Smoke billowed from Kyiv’s cabinet of ministers building, the residence of Ukraine’s Cabinet, raising concerns about the escalation of Russia’s air campaign. The attack claimed the lives of at least four individuals, including a young woman and an infant. Rescuers recovered their bodies from the rubble. In response, US President Donald Trump expressed readiness to impose new sanctions on Russia.

The EU’s ambassador to Ukraine, Katarina Mathernova, visited the damaged building along with other diplomatic representatives, condemning the attack as a deliberate act by Putin. The Iskander ballistic missile strike on the cabinet of ministers symbolized a direct assault on Ukraine’s government, as stated by the EU envoy.
