In a surprising move, Sky has just announced the comeback of one of its beloved channels. The popular Sky One channel is set to make a return to screens later this month after being closed down in 2021. The television company has revealed that the relaunch will feature engaging comedy and entertainment programs, including new series such as The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby.

Fan-favorites like Rob & Romesh Vs.., The Paper, and Ted will also be part of the lineup available on channel 106. Additionally, Sky One will debut Saturday Night Live UK, scheduled for launch later this year.

The relaunched channel will replace Sky Showcase and Sky Max, consolidating a diverse range of entertainment in one place, simplifying the viewing experience for audiences seeking must-watch television content.

Carli Kerr, Managing Director of Sky TV & NOW, expressed, “Our aim is to make it effortless for Sky TV customers to discover and enjoy their favorite shows.” Kerr emphasized that building on the legacy of Sky One, the channel will be a unique destination, characterized by its vibrancy and boldness, featuring new Sky Originals like The Dyers’ Caravan Park, as well as returning favorites such as Rob & Romesh Vs., and serving as the home of the highly anticipated Saturday Night Live UK.

This channel update news coincides with Sky’s recent announcement of a major event happening this month. In an invitation extended to Mirror Online, the company hinted at exciting developments coming to Sky TV, inviting the audience to join in to learn more.

The language used in the invitation has sparked interest, creating anticipation among Sky TV subscribers. Notably, Sky typically organizes in-person launch events for significant revelations, leading to speculation about what surprises might be in store.

Mirror Online will be present at the event in London’s West End, providing live updates as the news unfolds. The announcement is scheduled to kick off around 10 am on February 11.
