As the holiday season draws near, many individuals are reaching for a Terry’s Chocolate Orange to enjoy. This year, fans of the traditional treat have the opportunity to indulge in a new offering – the Terry’s Chocolate Orange Baileys flavor.
The recently launched limited edition Baileys x Terry’s Chocolate Orange Irish Cream Liqueur, priced at £11, brings together the smoothness of Baileys Original Irish Cream with the distinct chocolate and citrusy orange notes of Terry’s. To assess this novelty, I had the chance to sample a bottle before the festive season and was taken aback by one particular aspect during the tasting.
While many prefer to enjoy their Baileys on the rocks, I personally like to incorporate it into a cocktail, even if it’s a simple mix with milk.
Seeking the full flavor experience, I experimented with the Terry’s chocolate variation both with milk and neat. The first thing that struck me was its pale hue, contrary to my expectation of a chocolate-colored liqueur resembling the original Baileys.
Upon tasting it, the delightful zesty orange essence was evident, although I felt a desire for more prominent chocolate undertones, perhaps due to my affinity for chocolate.
For those craving a richer chocolate taste, blending it with chocolate milk could be a worthwhile experiment, which I plan to try soon.
Despite my personal preference for a stronger chocolate presence, I did enjoy the product and believe it would make a splendid Christmas gift for a friend or loved one.
