Three individuals have been apprehended after a shooting incident at a nightclub in Birmingham that left a man in critical condition. The West Midlands Police reported that two men and a woman sustained less severe injuries in the altercation at Mango nightclub on Bristol Street around 3 am on Saturday.
Authorities arrested three suspects in their 20s and 30s on the M6 in Warwickshire shortly after the incident. They are currently held on suspicion of violent conduct as the investigation progresses. Acting Chief Inspector Michael Clarke emphasized the significance of gathering information from witnesses or potential dashcam footage from the busy nightclub area.
The police have cordoned off Bristol Street, a crucial route to Birmingham city center, and advised drivers to avoid the southbound lane from Pagoda Island to Bromsgrove Street. Detectives have implemented extra patrols in the vicinity following the shooting, as depicted in video footage showing emergency vehicles on-site.
