“Topshop and Topman Team Up with John Lewis for Retail Revival”

Must Read

Topshop and Topman are making a significant comeback to physical retail locations next year through a new collaboration with John Lewis. Topshop items will be available in 32 John Lewis stores across the UK starting from February 2026, while Topman products will be introduced in six locations. The move follows the closure of all Topshop stores in 2021 when the brand was acquired by ASOS for £330 million after the collapse of Sir Philip Green’s Arcadia Group.

Although Topshop products are currently exclusively sold on the ASOS website, the fashion retailer announced plans to return permanently to physical stores after a successful pop-up event at Defected Records in east London. In addition, Topshop recently relaunched its independent website.

Peter Ruis, the managing director of John Lewis, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating that it would attract a diverse range of customers, including younger demographics. Michelle Wilson, the managing director of Topshop, highlighted the anticipation among customers for the brand’s return to brick-and-mortar stores, expecting to attract new customers to John Lewis.

The move comes after Ikea acquired the former Topshop store on Oxford Street, with renovations ongoing since 2022. Initially planned to open by autumn 2023, the project faced delays due to various challenges, including basement water leaks. The revamped three-floor shopping space offers around 6,000 products, with 3,500 available for immediate purchase and the remainder accessible through home delivery, click-and-collect, or off-site collection options.
