Bargain expert Jordon Cox has shared a clever method to uncover a “hidden code” that signals the impending expiration of a deal at Tesco.
Known as the Coupon King on ITV’s This Morning, Jordon regularly imparts money-saving tips on social media platforms. In a recent video, he demonstrated how a product on a Clubcard Price offer displays a unique six-digit number indicating the deal’s end date.
By decoding the number in reverse, in blocks of two, you can determine the expiry date: the last two digits represent the day, the middle two the month, and the first two the year. This tactic allows you to plan ahead and stock up on items before the deal ends, saving money on your shopping trips.
Meanwhile, Tesco is reminding customers to utilize their Clubcard vouchers before £16.5 million worth expires at the end of the month. These vouchers must be redeemed by midnight on November 30.
Tesco shoppers earn Clubcard points for various purchases, including groceries, fuel, Tesco Mobile, Tesco credit card transactions, and using a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card. Accumulating a minimum of 150 points entitles you to a Clubcard voucher worth £1.50 to spend at Tesco. Currently, more than 24 million UK households possess a Tesco Clubcard.

Tesco’s Group Membership and Loyalty Director, Shama Wilson, emphasized the importance of utilizing Clubcard Vouchers, highlighting the substantial value of expiring vouchers this quarter. Checking the Tesco app for expiring vouchers can potentially unlock exciting rewards with partner brands like Cineworld and PizzaExpress.
