Darts sensation Luke Littler is overjoyed after successfully passing his driving test, a momentous achievement after a series of setbacks. The reigning world champion aced his practical test on the first try but faced multiple failures in the theory exam.
After six unsuccessful attempts, the 18-year-old finally conquered the theory test hurdle, earning the legal right to drive. Colin Price Driving School proudly shared a picture of Littler on social media, commending his accomplishment, which he later reposted.
Praising Littler’s flawless performance, the driving school captioned, “Congratulations to Luke Littler on acing his driving test today at Warrington with no driving faults. Exceptional achievement, now enjoy your ride!”
Earlier this year, Littler candidly shared his disappointment after his fifth theory test defeat, narrowly missing the passing score by just two points. Despite a close call in his latest theory test in September, with a marginal score on the multiple-choice section, he left nothing to chance in the practical exam.
In a previous interview following his world title win in January 2025, Littler mentioned his intention to purchase a new car with part of his prize money. However, realizing the urgency of obtaining his driver’s license, he prioritized passing the test promptly.
Expressing his automotive preferences, Littler expressed his fondness for a Mercedes A-Class, emphasizing the need to start driving lessons before turning twenty to avoid delays. He humorously hinted at gifting himself a car as a birthday present.
Littler’s successful driving test coincides with his upcoming participation in the PDC World Championship defense starting in December. While his European Championship journey ended prematurely, he secured a spot in the Players Championship Finals, gearing up to face tough opponents.
The darting prodigy’s tournament path includes a match against Jeffrey De Graaf in the initial round, with potential matchups against Ross Smith or Niko Springer. As he aims to retain his world title, Littler faces formidable challengers, including top-seeded Gerwyn Price.
Among the elite players qualifying for the forthcoming World Championship, Littler stands out as a prominent contender. The prestigious tournament at Alexandra Palace will commence on December 11, introducing a revised format eliminating byes for the 32 seeded players, including Littler.
