Tennis legend Andre Agassi marked his 24th wedding anniversary with fellow icon of the sport, Steffi Graf, by sharing a nostalgic photo on social media. The picture showed the couple holding their Wimbledon trophies from 1992, nine years before their marriage.
In the photo, Agassi sported his long blonde hair, a stark contrast to his current shaved head appearance. He was dressed in a tuxedo with his signature dangly earring. Graf, now 56, looked elegant in a ball gown and pearls. Alongside the throwback image, Agassi posted a recent photo of the couple, expressing his love and admiration for his wife.
Although Agassi and Graf both achieved Wimbledon success in 1992, Agassi was previously married to actress Brooke Shields while Graf dated Michael Bartels. Their relationship blossomed after Agassi’s divorce from Shields in 1999, with Agassi confessing his long-standing admiration for Graf.
The couple had a private wedding ceremony in Las Vegas in 2001, attended only by themselves and their mothers. They later welcomed their children, Jaden Gil and Jaz Elle, who have pursued interests in baseball and dance, respectively.
Agassi, known as one of the greatest male players, had a remarkable career with 60 ATP Tour singles titles and eight Grand Slam victories, including a career Grand Slam. Graf, a German tennis icon, secured 22 major women’s singles titles and retired in 1999 after a successful career with numerous Grand Slam wins.
