“Stranded Passengers Vow: Never Fly Ryanair Again”

Must Read

A frustrated couple has declared they will never use Ryanair again after a harrowing experience returning from their vacation. The duo was scheduled to fly back to Manchester from Faro Airport in Portugal at 10 pm on Tuesday but ended up stranded on the tarmac for about an hour while the aircraft underwent inspection. Subsequently, they were instructed to return to the terminal as the flight had been canceled. Along with 200 other passengers, the couple had to spend the night on the airport floor due to the unavailability of accommodations.

Expressing their ordeal, one of them recounted to Manchester Evening News, “We were left waiting for almost an hour without any information, feeling like sheep with no communication.” The pilot later informed them of a technical fault, leading to the flight cancellation around midnight. Despite promises of hotel stays and refreshments, passengers were left waiting until the early hours of the morning for the next flight.

The travelers were directed back to the gate at 1 am for a 6:05 am flight, with no accommodation provided. The lack of amenities in the closed airport terminal left passengers, including elderly, disabled, and pregnant individuals, stranded without food or drink. The subsequent flight departure at 6:30 am led to further chaos as passengers were charged full price for beverages after a sleepless night, causing added frustration.

Upon finally landing at Manchester Airport after 9:30 am, the exhausted couple vowed never to fly with Ryanair again, citing the lack of proper treatment and apologies. A Ryanair spokesperson attributed the delay to air traffic control issues and a minor technical problem, resulting in the rescheduled flight the following morning. Passengers were notified of the delays and provided refreshment vouchers, although accommodation options were limited due to airport curfew constraints. The flight eventually departed at 6:05 am the next day.

In conclusion, the couple’s nightmarish experience with Ryanair has left them disillusioned with the airline’s services, highlighting the challenges faced by passengers during unexpected flight disruptions.
