“Ferrari President Criticizes Hamilton and Leclerc”

Must Read

Ferrari’s president, John Elkann, criticized Formula 1 drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc after a disappointing Sao Paulo Grand Prix, urging them to prioritize driving over talking. Both drivers failed to score any points in the race and retired due to separate incidents.

Meanwhile, Ferrari’s World Endurance Championship team secured the title at the Eight Hours of Bahrain. Alessandro Pier Guidi, Antonio Giovinazzi, and James Calado clinched the drivers’ title by finishing fourth, with Ferrari topping the manufacturers’ standings by 74 points.

Hamilton has faced challenges adapting to the season in F1, with minimal successes apart from a Sprint race win in March. On the other hand, Leclerc has struggled to secure a Grand Prix victory despite few mistakes.

Elkann, present in Bahrain during the race, criticized the drivers for Ferrari’s lack of competitiveness this season. He emphasized the team’s success in WEC and pit stop performance but highlighted the drivers’ need to focus more on driving and less on talking.

Ferrari currently holds fourth place in the constructors’ championship, trailing Mercedes and Red Bull. They are the only top-four team yet to win a Grand Prix in 2025.

After a challenging race in Sao Paulo, Hamilton expressed frustration at the team’s performance but vowed to bounce back stronger in the next race. Leclerc acknowledged the difficulty in securing a higher position in the constructors’ championship, emphasizing the team’s collective effort.

In other news, Sky has enhanced its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle by adding HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, and Hayu, along with 135 channels and full Formula 1 coverage. Sky offers exclusive coverage of various sports events throughout the season.
