“Apple Issues Crucial Update for iPhone Charging Glitch”

Must Read

Apple has rolled out a crucial update for new iPhone users to address a charging issue affecting some devices. The glitch has been causing problems with wireless charging, forcing affected users to rely on MagSafe for recharging.

Although Apple reports that only a small number of users have experienced this issue, it is advisable for all users to ensure their devices are running the latest software. The iPhone 17 series, including the Pro and Pro Max models, as well as the iPhone Air, have been identified as devices needing the update.

The update specifically targets a bug that hinders wired charging on iPhone Air and iPhone 17 models when the battery is nearly empty, as explained by Apple.

To update your device, navigate to Settings, then tap General and Software Update. Look for the available iOS 26.5.1 update and select “Update Now” for an immediate installation. Alternatively, schedule the update for nighttime when the device is not in use.

Ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi or have unlimited mobile data since the update file is substantial at 13.6GB. Apple is gearing up for its WWDC Developers Conference starting on June 8, where the new iOS 27 upgrade is anticipated to be unveiled, bringing enhanced features and potentially boosting AI capabilities on devices.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, expressed excitement for the upcoming WWDC event, highlighting the celebration of technology, innovation, and collaboration within the global developer community.
