“Man Charged with Murder After Missing Person Found Dead”

A man has been accused of murder following the discovery of a missing person’s body in an abandoned structure, according to authorities.

Junior Ryan Coleman was declared missing on August 20, and law enforcement officers located his body on September 19, as reported by the Metropolitan Police.

During a search in Brockley Road, Lewisham, officers found the body while investigating Coleman’s disappearance.

A post-mortem examination revealed that Mr. Coleman succumbed to head injuries caused by blunt force trauma. Consequently, a murder inquiry was initiated by the authorities on September 20.

Daniel Watkis, aged 39, residing on Glenarm Road in Hackney, was apprehended on Thursday and formally charged on Friday. He is currently in custody following a hearing at Bromley Magistrates’ Court.

Watkis is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on October 24. Meanwhile, support is being provided to Mr. Coleman’s family by specialized officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Sam Townsend, who is leading the investigation, expressed sympathy for Junior’s loved ones during this challenging period.

Townsend’s team is diligently working to unravel the circumstances surrounding Junior’s disappearance and tragic death.

An appeal has been made to anyone acquainted with Junior, particularly those who may have seen him in the summer months, to come forward with any pertinent information to aid the investigation.
