“Morrisons Recalls ‘Savers Salad Cream’ Over Undisclosed Ingredients”

Must Read

Morrisons issued an important alert concerning one of its products due to potential health risks for certain consumers. Customers are urged to return affected batches of the supermarket’s own-brand ‘Savers Salad Cream’ with batch codes ‘L25 122’ to the nearest store for a full refund. The concern is that these products may contain undisclosed egg and mustard ingredients.

The recall specifically targets the ‘Savers Salad Cream’ with a Best Before End date of AUG/2026 and Batch L25 122. Morrisons noted that the presence of egg and mustard, not mentioned on the label, could pose health risks to individuals with allergies to these ingredients.

According to the customer notice, only the specified product is affected, and Morrisons apologized for any inconvenience caused, emphasizing their commitment to product quality and safety standards. The recall applies to Savers Salad Cream batches with best-before dates of August 2026, as confirmed by the Government’s Food Standards Agency (FSA), which also identified the affected bottles as 420g in size.

The FSA explained the nature of product recalls, highlighting the necessity of withdrawing or recalling food items if there are risks to consumers due to missing or incorrect allergy labeling. In the case of Morrisons, consumers are advised not to consume the recalled product and to return it to any Morrisons store for a full refund, with no receipt necessary.

In a separate incident, M&S is recalling a batch of ‘Milk Chocolate Honeycomb’ over concerns of potential peanut presence not indicated on the packaging. Packs weighing 120g, with lot number ‘5242’ and best-before dates of May 12, 2026, are affected. Customers with peanut allergies should avoid these products and return them to M&S stores for refunds.

M&S emphasized customer safety as its top priority and took the recall seriously, aiming to ensure the production integrity of its foods. The FSA endorsed the recall and advised affected consumers to contact allergy support organizations for further guidance.
