Sophie Habboo, openly discussing her pregnancy journey, has shared various aspects of her experience, including a particular facial treatment she has been enjoying recently.
During a recent Q&A session, a follower inquired about the best treatments for achieving a sculpted face. Sophie recommended Facegym’s hands-only treatment for pregnant individuals. Facegym is a renowned skincare brand with multiple studios in the UK and a range of products. While their signature facial involves advanced gadgets for facial lifting and sculpting, these are not recommended during pregnancy. Instead, they offer a Signature Hands facial where therapists exclusively use their hands.
Embracing the fitness theme, Facegym refers to their treatments as ‘workouts’ and their therapists as ‘trainers’. Curious about the results, I scheduled a 45-minute Signature Hands treatment at the Coal Drops Yard salon in London.
After a thorough cleanse, the treatment commenced with a gentle warm-up involving facial stretching and exercises with a mini ball. Subsequently, a hydrating serum was applied, and the therapist began working on facial muscles through kneading, pinching, and gentle slapping, focusing on areas like the jaw, cheekbones, and brows.
The session concluded with a cooling gua sha treatment to reduce puffiness and fine lines, followed by a lymphatic massage, moisturizer, and SPF application. The treatment left my face looking more sculpted, with defined cheekbones and jawline, and a noticeable glow from improved circulation that lasted throughout the day.
Apart from being relaxing, the treatment also addressed neck and shoulder tension. The therapist shared self-massage tips for maintaining the results at home, including jaw massages during cleansing.
While the results of the Signature Sculpt treatment using machines may be more significant and enduring, the Signature Hands treatment is an excellent choice for pregnant individuals or those seeking a skin rejuvenation before an event.
