A recent official parliamentary inquiry uncovered that a former Conservative staffer, who switched allegiance to the Reform party during a Tory conference, engaged in bullying and harassment towards a coworker. The investigation found that Robbie Lammas, previously associated with Richard Holden MP, was guilty of bullying a junior staff member by intimidating her and demanding a hug after a heated altercation. Lammas’ conduct was deemed an abuse of his authority, resulting in the creation of a hostile and intimidating work environment for the woman.
Witnesses reported instances where Lammas raised his voice, made false accusations against the colleague, and threatened to terminate her employment, citing his prior dismissals of staff. Lammas, with a background as a special adviser in the Conservative Government and a senior role at CCHQ, announced his switch to Reform UK at the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester. Subsequently, multiple former colleagues accused him of inappropriate behavior, including claims of sexual harassment and sending unsolicited cards to female staff members’ homes.
In response to the allegations, Lammas vehemently denied any wrongdoing, attributing the complaints to a coordinated effort by CCHQ and Richard Holden due to his defection. Reform UK has been contacted for a statement regarding the matter.
