“Luke Littler to Defend PDC World Darts Title”

Must Read

Luke Littler is set to begin his first defense of the PDC World Darts Championship against Darius Labanauskas at Alexandra Palace next month. The draw for the tournament was conducted on Monday afternoon.

The 18-year-old claimed the 2025 world champion title by defeating Michael van Gerwen at Ally Pally in January. Following this victory, Littler has secured wins in prestigious events such as the UK Open, World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, Grand Slam of Darts, and Players Championship.

Recently ascending to the top spot in the world rankings, Littler is in stellar form as he prepares to defend his World Championship crown in the upcoming tournament.

In the initial round of the 128-player competition, Littler, also known as ‘The Nuke,’ will take on Lithuanian No.1 Labanauskas, hailing from Warrington.

Among other opening matches, Luke Humphries is slated to face Ted Evetts, Michael van Gerwen will go up against Mitsohiko Tatsunami, and Beau Greaves is set to compete against Daryl Gurney.
