A troubling video of the incident showed the newborn inside the box that was positioned on a roadside wall in Tuguegarao City, Philippines. May Asuncion, a social worker from the City Social Welfare and Development Office, mentioned that the baby is currently stable but will undergo observation at the hospital for up to five days to ensure her ongoing well-being.
Chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. commended the prompt response of local residents and authorities, emphasizing the value of every life. The police are determined to identify the person responsible for abandoning the child.
