Diagnosed with cervical cancer in June 2022, Wilson underwent extensive treatment over six weeks after the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. Fortunately, she received the all-clear in June 2023, marking two years of being cancer-free.
Having joined Sky Sports in 2011, Wilson underwent radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and brachytherapy to combat the disease, which ultimately led to early menopause impacting her career in presenting. The diagnosis came shortly after she welcomed her daughter in 2020, intensifying the emotional turmoil she faced during the challenging period.

Saunders underwent surgery due to a brain infection following a thyroid cancer diagnosis, leaving her partner shocked by the visible aftermath. Mowbray, on the other hand, disclosed his battle with bowel cancer, underscoring the shared struggles faced by many in their fight against the disease.
