Rising Rapper Maxon Margiela Dies at 21

Rapper Maxon Margiela has passed away at the age of 21. The emerging music talent died in Miami on Sunday, shortly after a reported suicide attempt the previous week.

According to the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office, the deceased artist, known as Mason Reyes, was under their care, although the autopsy was still pending. Maxon gained popularity on SoundCloud, releasing his first album, #healthy, in November of last year. He amassed a large following, with over 100,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

His career soared when he signed with Columbia Records earlier this year. In July, he released his second mixtape, #filthy, along with new tracks like Kiss The Future, for which he teased a music video clip on Instagram. Fans have taken to social media to honor his memory, praising his positive impact on the music industry and his supporters.

Earlier in the year, Maxon attended New York Fashion Week and mingled with fellow musicians. His lyrics often touched on themes of partying, relationships, and financial success. In his song, My Time, he hinted at his imminent rise to stardom.
