Apple has introduced the iPhone 17e, a new smartphone with significant enhancements offered at an affordable price of £599. The device boasts a speedy A19 processor, MagSafe charging capability, sturdy design, and an impressive single-lens camera. In comparison to Apple’s flagship iPhone, the iPhone 17e is priced £200 lower.
Notably, Samsung has revealed its latest models, the A57 and A37, starting at a price point of £399. While these Samsung phones may not match the performance or charging features of the iPhone 17e, they do offer a 6.7-inch screen with 120Hz technology, surpassing the 60Hz screen of the iPhone 17e in terms of smoothness during activities like browsing, emailing, and gaming.
The Galaxy A57 and A37 by Samsung come equipped with features such as large 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and a P68 water and dust-resistant design. These devices also integrate smart features for AI enthusiasts, with support for Google’s Circle to Search and advanced photo editing tools like Object Eraser, Best Face, and Edit Suggestions for effortless photo enhancement and sharing.
Additionally, Samsung has enhanced the Voice Transcription feature within the Voice Recorder app, enabling users to transcribe or translate call recordings and convert voicemail audio into text swiftly. Samsung has committed to providing robust long-term support for the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G models, promising up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches.
Both the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th. The Galaxy A57 5G will be priced from £529 for the 256GB variant, while the Galaxy A37 5G will start at £399 for the 128GB model. The Galaxy A57 5G will be offered in colors such as Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac, while the Galaxy A37 5G will be available in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White.
Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) Division, emphasized the importance of making AI accessible to more users alongside pushing the boundaries of its capabilities.
