A tragic incident unfolded as a 13-year-old girl was discovered deceased at her residence following an emergency response. The young teenager, identified as Nina Papierniok, was found on Monday morning by emergency crews at her home in Preston. Despite their efforts, the Year 8 student was pronounced dead. Lancashire Police confirmed that the circumstances surrounding her death are not suspicious and that the case will be referred to the coroner.
In memory of the schoolgirl, her friends and family initiated a fundraiser to provide support and commemorate her life. The fundraiser established after Nina’s passing has already garnered over £9,800, nearing its £10,000 goal.
According to a statement from Lancashire Police reported by LancsLive, the authorities were alerted to the sudden death at 7:04 am on September 15 at Manor House Lane in Preston. The spokesperson expressed condolences to the girl’s loved ones during this distressing period.
The principal of Archbishop Temple Church of England High School, Ivan Catlow, expressed profound sorrow over the loss, stating that the school community deeply feels the impact of Nina’s passing.
