“Meghan and Harry Honor Late Friend’s Son at Charity Tennis Event”

Must Read

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, attended a charity event with her husband, Prince Harry, to pay tribute to a close friend’s late son. The event, named the George Zajfen Tennis Tournament, took place on Saturday at the Los Angeles Tennis Club in honor of George Zajfen, who had a passion for tennis.

George, the son of former model Kelly McKee Zajfen and entertainment lawyer Julian Zajfen, tragically passed away in 2022 due to a sudden viral illness. Kelly, a long-time friend of Meghan before her global recognition, established the Alliance of Moms to support expectant and parenting youth in LA’s foster care system.

The funds raised at the event aimed to assist young mothers and enhance their future opportunities. During the tournament, Kelly, who is also a mother to daughter Lily, delivered a speech while Meghan, visibly moved, wiped away a tear, with Harry standing by her side.

In an Instagram post, Kelly expressed her admiration for the support received, raising a record-breaking $200,000 for youth in Los Angeles and California. She thanked Meghan and Harry for their dedication to the cause and their continuous support of The Alliance.

Kelly extended her gratitude to the event’s sponsors and praised Meghan and Harry for their unwavering commitment to the community and friendship. She emphasized their role in honoring George’s memory and appreciated their ongoing support.

Meghan and Kelly’s friendship dates back almost two decades, initially connected through mutual acquaintances. Following George’s passing, Meghan and Harry contributed to a fundraiser in his memory, showcasing Meghan’s continuous emotional support for Kelly.

During an Instagram Q&A session, Kelly shared heartfelt sentiments about Meghan, describing her as a nurturing and inspiring figure in her life. In a personal piece, Kelly reflected on the overwhelming support received from the community after George’s passing, emphasizing the profound impact of kindness and solidarity.
